Nordic Skiing - The Eastman Cross Country Center offers 36 kilometers of groomed trails, open and wooded, with a variety of terrain to suit everyone's fancy. Discover for yourself the natural beauty of the Eastman Region. Enjoy scenic views of Croydon Peak and Cardigan Mountain.

Ice Skating - The pond on the 11th fairway adjacent to the Cross Country Center is maintained for skating, complete with lights for skating after dark. Special activities are scheduled in conjunction with the most favorable skating conditions. Skate rentals available.

Snowshoeing - A perennial favorite for many, is offered on all groomed Eastman trails with a trail pass or on all of Eastman's non-groomed walking trails through the woods or on the Lake. Why not give it a try? Snowshoe rentals are available through the Cross Country Center at The Center at Eastman. Or join the Eastman Snowshoe Program on Saturdays starting in January at 9 am at The Center for walks around Eastman, Grantham and the surrounding areas. A destination schedule is posted at The Center or you may call Peter at 863-6456.

Sledding - Both groomed sledding and tobogganing are available on the picturesque 16th fairway. Ample parking is available at the Cross Country Center. If conditions permit, lower sections of Snow Hill may be groomed for sledding also. Sledding equipment is available at the Cross Country Center on a first come basis.

Winter Events Calendar - There's so much going on at Eastman!

Fitness Center - Located at The Center across the hallway from the golf snack bar. Hours 5 am - 10 pm. An orientation session is required. The cost of the orientation is $10. Equipment available includes: 2 treadmills, 1 recumbent bike, 3 elliptical machines, multi-use weight machine and free weights with bench. All members are given an access card that provides entrance into the room. Access cards are not transferable.

At the South Cove Activity Center

Swimming Pool
Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Season or daily passes are required and may be purchased at the Barn desk or the Cross Country Center (weekends starting 12/3).
The Pool is open to ECA property owners, guests and tenants
Locker rooms, showers and rest rooms are located downstairs
Season pass holders are given an access card allowing use of the pool from 5 am - 9 pm

Other Swimming Activities

Private swim lessons for adults and children are available by appointment. Contact the Recreation Dept. to make an appointment (863-6772).
Water Aerobics classes meet every Mon, Wed & Fri from 8:45 am. Cost is $4. each or $32 for a booklet of eight passes. Participants must either purchase a daily pool pass or have a season pass to attend.

Sauna
Located in the lower level of Tallulah's
(through the back doorway of both the Men's and Ladies' locker rooms)
Hours: Open Daily 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Adults 18 years and older with a Pool /Sauna pass may obtain the lock combination from the Barn desk personnel.
Timer switch operates the sauna. Allow 10 minutes for it to warm up.

The Recreation Barn
The Barn is a public building centrally located
at the South Cove Activity Center.
Hours: 8 am - 4:30 pm Daily.
Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day What's in the Barn?

Business Desk for payment of: season ski passes, pool/sauna tags, van trips, bagged ice and special events. The Desk staff also handles sign ups for pot luck suppers, programs & trips. Parking permits are issued here (weekends) for guests and vacation renters.
Public Rest rooms are located downstairs.
Pay telephone is located in the main foyer.
Bulletin boards and table area for public announcements, classifieds, advertisements and restaurant listings
Air hockey, bumper pool, ping pong, foosball, cable tv lounge, and refreshments for sale.

Tallulah's - An Adult Center
Located adjacent to the Barn
Hours: Open daily from 8 - 4:30 pm What's in Tallulah's?

Two full sized meeting rooms (upper and main level) with folding tables and chairs
Kitchen with utensils, two ovens, commercial refrigerator & microwave
Piano and fireplace
Pat's Place - a quiet sitting room with cable tv, vcr, stereo and reading material
Tallulah's may be rented by ECA property owners for private parties and gatherings. The primary group must be 21 years or older. Contact Eastman Recreation for availability and fees. (863-6772)
